Wedding theme inspirations – Garden Party, Old Hollywood, Travels!

Wedding season is officially on our doorstep and we are super excited to be working with the lovely couples over the next few months. We get to experience weddings during their planning stages its always interesting to see how couple’s personalities shine through their wedding theme, ideas and decor.

Some opt in for a simple BBQ with a family in a cozy restaurant. Others choose to share their interests in travel with their wedding guests. Every couple is truly unique in their style  so we wanted to share a few of the most loved wedding themes from the last season.

Garden Party

This is such a gorgeous theme! With limitless possibilities – from beautiful outdoor spaces to etherial flower designs. Check out the minimal botanical look from one of the weddings we captured at the Doctor’s House over the last summer. The venue was a perfect combination of outdoor gardens and indoor space flooded with light. My favourite is the way in which the bride designed their head table. The invisible chairs and table kept the focus on the gorgeous floral designs by Flower Workshop and the couple itself. I was so honoured to work with this couple. Anastasia & Faisal have been together for over a decade and they decided to celebrate each other with friends and family this past summer.

Old Hollywood

This is such a fun theme! One can go wild with the the luxurious elements of the classical movies or even pepper them with a modern twist. Take a look at how Sasha & Arash made this theme work for them. University of Toronto Club was a perfect vessel to host a lavish evening of feathers a pearls. I love the centrepieces and the decadent floral designs by Nafeesa from Princess Decor & Floral.

Evoked by those unforgettable travel memories, couples love to share their favourite corners of the planet with their guests. In this case, the vintage travel theme was shown through old suitcases and cameras. Tables were named after the cities that the couple visited in the past, and each guest got a coaster with a photo of that city. They also had a slide show of their travel photos available for the guests to enjoy. Take a peak!
